Simple Art Collections is a private tool operated by Remics Software Technologies. It stores one person's art collection and publishes only the pages that person explicitly chooses to publish. It has no public sign-up, no other users, and no advertising.
Signing in uses your Google account's email address, basic profile and OpenID identifier, for one purpose: to check whether you are the single account permitted to use this collection. Everyone else is refused.
To bring photographs of artworks into the collection, the app uses two Google Drive permissions:
drive.readonly) — used to read the image files in the folder the
owner nominates for import, and nothing else. This permission is broader than
what the app uses: Google offers no narrower scope that can read files the owner
uploaded by hand.drive.file) — used to create the import folder and the metadata
spreadsheet inside it.Images the owner imports are copied into Cloudflare R2 storage. Their descriptive details — title, artist, date, medium, dimensions, notes — are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Access tokens are held as encrypted secrets. Signing in to the private browser sets one session cookie; it exists to keep you signed in and is used for nothing else.
There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts on any page of this site.
This app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: data obtained from Google is used only to provide the collection features described above. It is never sold, never transferred to third parties except as needed to provide those features, never used for advertising, and never used to train generalised artificial-intelligence models.
Nothing is shared with anyone. The collection is private by default: an artwork becomes visible on this website only when the owner deliberately publishes a page containing it. Everything else stays unreachable from the public internet.
Imported images and details are kept until the owner deletes them. You can withdraw this app's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; import stops working immediately, and anything already imported can be deleted on request. To ask for deletion of everything held, write to michele@remics.tech.
